Associations that have an interest in working alongside ACC Accreditation Services include:

American Association of Heart Failure Nurses

The American Association of Heart Failure Nurses (AAHFN) is a specialty organization dedicated to advancing nursing education, clinical practice and research to improve heart failure patient outcomes. Heart failure is our exclusive interest and passion. Our goal is to set the standards for heart failure nursing care.

We unite the full spectrum of nurses and other health professionals interested in heart failure. We serve as the interface for sharing ideas, translating research findings into practice and setting priorities for the future. We welcome and value all professionals involved in heart failure care. We focus on patients across all environments of care from the hospital, to the clinic, to home.

American Heart Association

The American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association (AHA) offer a comprehensive suite of co-branded accreditation services designed to optimize patient outcomes and improve hospital financial performance. This collaboration reflects the ACC and AHA's shared goals of transforming care and helping people live longer, healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases. By joining forces, the ACC and AHA aim to identify and recognize high performing and complex cardiovascular service lines across the nation and provide unbiased, actionable, and achievable benchmarks for all hospital and clinical leaders to use as they work to raise their own standards of clinical performance. The collaboration also builds upon the clinical cardiovascular guidelines already established by ACC and AHA and leverages the collective expertise and resources or the two organizations to further accelerate the scope and positive impact of accreditation on cardiovascular patient care. Mission: Lifeline® Collaboration:

Two Great Organizations One Goal: Improving Quality of Life
The American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association have a shared vision of improved consistency in the treatment of patients with a ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). SCPC and AHA jointly launched the Mission: Lifeline® STEMI Accreditation program. This alliance changes the way STEMI patients are reperfused by breaking down the silos that exist between care providers. This is accomplished by bringing together physicians, nurses, emergency medical service providers, and hospital teams to refine and eliminate barriers that prevent the best clinical outcomes.
